Fritz Pastry is a bakery in Chicago that offers several vegan pastries. They have two flavors of Fritz Cakes, chocolate and vanilla. The vanilla cake had a great consistency and the frosting was delicious.
The Fritz Cakes are wonderful, but the real star is their vegan doughnut. This vegan doughnut was the most like a traditional cake doughnut that I've tasted. I've had many vegan doughnuts, all good. This one was great. The texture, crisp on the outside, cake-like on the inside, was just amazing. It's the first vegan doughnut I've tasted to really get the cake doughnut just right.
